MICHELLE HUBER
FOUNDER AND DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Longtime Kensington resident, I opened my interior design studio and retail shop on Adams Avenue in Normal Heights in 2017. After attending the Design Institute of San Diego and working for another designer for years, I decided to take the leap and start my own business.The retail shop includes both vintage and new items I source directly from artists and craftsman in North Africa, including textiles, ceramics, baskets and Tunisian towels. I also love supporting local artists so you will often find one of kind gems in my shop. MRH Interiors products have been featured both at West Elm and Pottery Barn.
MRH Interiors provides residential and commercial design services throughout Southern California and to select clients as far as Florida. My favorite kind of project is a older home with all the character! “Michelle's design talents combined with her kind nature and thoughtful listening make her a joy to work with! I'm continually surprised by how she hones in on things that I love, but would never find on my own,” says a Talmadge client.
“Normal Heights is the perfect spot! Great restaurants and shops all along Adams Avenue make it a fun place to come to work everyday and meet with clients. There is always something happening and with all the people walking by, I love that I get to meet someone new everyday,” Michelle explains.

INTERIOR DESIGNER
Born and raised a Midwest girl, Purdue University was an easy choice for my design education. Two years in, however, fate had other plans in store for me. I followed my heart (aka my future husband) across the country and landed in Los Angeles where I completed my degree at UCLA's CIDA-accredited Interior Design program. I've been in Southern California ever since and wouldn't have it any other way.
My breadth of work includes 4 and 5 star hotels, restaurants, timeshare units, and residential design. With 14 years of experience, I bring a broad range of creative, technical, and problem-solving skills and expertise to the design process. I am extremely approachable and am known for my patience and easy going, calm nature.
I love organization in every possible form (almost to my detriment). When not chugging away on a project, I can be found spending quality time with my kiddos and 6 pound Yorkie-Poo.
I firmly believe that no matter your vision, your budget or your space, a well thought out and well executed design will improve your quality of life.
